I wanted to elaborate on what Amber had said earlier about my time with God before surgery. From what all I can remember before surgery they had me all prepped and whatnot and then my mom, brother, his girlfriend, my aunt, and one of the pastors from my church all came in and prayed with me, and then the tech came and took me back to a room by myself because the OR that I was scheduled to have my surgery in still had a patient in it or was being
cleaned or something. Well, while I was in the room by myself I decided to pray for my surgery by myself because I hadn't had a chance to pray about it by myself yet that morning and I prayed and told God that I wanted Him to do His will with it and work it out the way He wanted it to. And after I finished praying I was able to relax so much that by the time the nurses and techs came to get me I was almost asleep! It was such an awesome experience! I just want to keep praising Him for it!
I was also going to give kinda a run-down of my perspective of my experience while in the hospital. I remember that I was recovering fine but then they gave me pill form of my meds and then tried to sit me up in a chair right after taking the pills and that didn't work because I then puked about 5-6 times which slowed down my recovery progress considerable because they kept wanting to make sure that I didn't throw up again. Then yesterday they discovered that my IV was going nowhere except just under my skin which explains why I wasn't feeling any better when they gave me pain meds. Anyways, they got my IV moved and then decided either yesterday or today to try more pill by mouth to see if they would work and discovered that even though the morphine(IV) did nothing some other pills helped and so I’ve been feeling better ever since that discovery was made. After we figured out the meds thing I was able to sit up in a chair for a while and then was actually able to take a walk yesterday. I think that those accomplishments finished off the list of things that I was supposed to do before being discharged from the hospital which is why they let me out today
around lunchtime.
