about me...

I love God with all my heart. I’m 23, and have been blessed with a challenge.

I have Chiari malformation which basically means my brain’s too big for my skull (because of my super high level of intelligence! :P) and is squishing down into my spinal column. I had surgery for it (Chiari endoscopic decompression: they remove a piece of bone from the base of the skull and cut through the outer of the two layers of the Dura to allow the inner layer of the Dura to stretch in order to relieve the pressure so that area is not so crowded) which is the most aggressive form of TREATMENT (it is not a cure… :( ) and since then I have been somewhat better. I still have frequent headaches, and some back pain and joint pain which worsen specifically when the weather changes…ESPECIALLY when it rains.

The reason all this is a blessing is because it is a constant reminder to me that I cannot keep going without God’s added strength. So even though it sounds bad, it serves a higher purpose and for that I’m very thankful!
