Ok so, I’ve updated my last post with little comments after it but they haven’t really done it justice. So I figured for your sakes at least I should probably update again.
Mostly recently, my headaches have gotten considerably worse to the point that they actually seem to be similar to migraines…although I’m not sure I understand why I’m having random shooting pain in the teeth in the left side of my mouth whenever I have a headache on the left side of my head. I’m getting 2 MRIs done this Tuesday and a doctor’s appointment the Tuesday after that (in a little over 1 week) so I should have a little bit better idea of what’s going on then and I’ll try to update again then.
They still haven’t figured out the right meds yet and I’m adding one for the headaches this weekend so hopefully that will help some.
I’m really bummed that for the time being I can’t go to chapel because of the noise and vibrations and whatnot. It’s frustrating because I like chapel and I honestly would go (for those of you who knew me a couple of years ago…just hush…I’ve changed quite a lot and I now look forward to chapel and last spring I went almost all the time even though it’s not required!) if it wasn’t for the pain that the noise and vibrations cause. The headache I currently have started this past Wednesday during chapel and has pretty much continued ever since with a couple of short breaks of about an hour or two.
Another recent struggle has been trying to get my doctors in Fort Wayne to communicate properly with the pharmacy here in Upland and also getting the insurance company to consent to paying for the meds the doctors are giving me. It gets frustrating because for one medication it took about a week to finally get everything straightened out so that I could actually get it.
The rest of the updation…my back has been slightly better thanks to my amazing roommate’s massage skills although my lower back is still about the same with almost constant achiness and random shooting pain that goes down into my hips…my knees have seemed actually worse because of the long walks across campus and have resorted to shooting pain through them randomly whenever I try to relax or sleep…I’m also having pain in my shoulders as well mostly just achiness…ok well I think that about covers the most recent changes as far as I can remember currently. More updates to come.
Oh and there are 3 FDA approved drugs to treat fibromyalgia now.
